Ranveer Singh makes sure that which ever character he picks, he essays it with such conviction that the audience believes him in a jiffy. After playing the rapper Murad in Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh will be seen playing legendary cricketer Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan’s ’83. The film revolves around the historic win of the Indian Cricket Team in 1983. Today Rajiv Mehra, fitness consultant and assistant to former cricketer Balwinder Sandhu revealed to a daily about training the actors for the film and he couldn’t stop raving about Ranveer Singh.
The fitness guru said that while the actors knew their characters, to train them physically was his main goal. To achieve this, individual training plans were made for the actors Ranveer Singh, Harry Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Amy Vrik, Adinath Kothare and others. Praising the Gully boy actor Rajiv Mehra said, “Ranveer would be on the ground with other actors at 8am till noon. Continuing to practice even after they left.” He also revealed that the actor was 86 kgs and for the role he had to become 75 kgs, “He started his training post Simmba release. He would be with me in the gym in the second half of the day, ending with swimming for four months.”
Apart from ’83, Ranveer will also be seen in Karan Johar’s magnum opus Takht alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt.
