Kangana Ranaut starrer, Panga, hit the theatres today. Directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, the film also stars Richa Chadha, Jassie Gill and Neena Gupta in substantial roles. The movie narrates the story of a female kabbadi player, who decides to make a comeback in her early 30s. The movie faces competition from Varun Dhawan-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Street Dancer 3D and the Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji-The Unsung Warrior.
Calling it a genuine film and Kangana a superstar, the film has received a lot of praise from the audience and the critics. Panga has released across 1450 screens in India. The film opened to an occupancy rate of 5-10% in the early shows. Trade analysts predict that Panag will make about Rs. 4-5 crore on its day one. However, the weekend business for the film is likely to rise owing to positive word-of- mouth amongst the people.
