Kanika Kapoor was the first Indian celebrity to test positive for the pandemic COVID 19 that has shut down the entire world in the past few weeks. The singer had returned from UK and instead of self-quarantining had flown to Lucknow, where she met with almost 300 people in two separate parties. She then revealed with a social media post about her ailment and was mercilessly trolled for the negligence.
Kanika had shared in her post, “For the past 4 days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for Covid-19. My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward. Contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway aswell.”
She had further shared, “At this stage I would like to urge you all to practice self isolation and get tested if you have the signs. I am feeling ok, like a normal flu and a mild fever, however we need to be sensible citizens at this time and think of all around us. We can get through this without panic only if we listen to the experts and our local, state and central government directives. Wishing everyone good health. Jai Hind !Take care.”
After being thrashed for her actions that have pot almost 260 lives at risk, Kanika suddenly deleted this post today without giving any explanation of why she did so. The singer is currently being treated in Lucknow in SGPGI and thankfully, no other people she came in contact with have tested positive so far.
