Kriti Sanon is riding on a wave of happiness with her recent release Panipat receiving rave reviews from both audience and critics alike. The actress plays the role of Parvati Bai, wife of Sadashiv Rao in her historical drama. Kriti trained with a dialect coach and filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker to deliver her dialogues convincingly in the movie.
In a recent interview Kriti spoke about having had a great year professionally. “This year has gone really well. It started off well with Luka Chuppi and then Houseful 4 did so well. Now, Panipat is getting good reviews — so, 2019 has been very special,” she said.
Reportedly Farah Khan is making a remake of the 1982 hit Satte Pe Satta.. Sources suggest that Kriti might play the role of Ranjeeta Kaur from the Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer. When asked Kriti about the same the Luka Chuppi actress said,” I would love to (be a part of the film) but there is nothing that I know of, to be very honest.”
Rumors were also doing the rounds that Hrithik Roshan and Anushka Sharma are being roped in to essay the roles of Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini from the original film. Well if things work out, it will be interesting to watch Kriti in the remake of this cult film after watching her in an intense period drama like Panipat.
