The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is one of the largest and the most prestigious museums in the world. The trust of the MET museum, headed by chairperson Daniel Bordsky named Indian philanthropist and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani an honorary member of the prestigious board.
Talking about her association with the museum, chairman Brodsky said, “She has had an enormous impact on the museum’s ability to study and display art from every corner of the world.” Mrs. Nita Ambani has helped organise several exhibitions over the years and has lent a helping hand to the museum. In 2017, she spoke of her association with the MET and said, “The Met enables Indian art to be shown at an iconic institution and further encourages us to continue our work in the art world.”
With Nita Ambani named as the first ever Indian to join the board of member, this marks a big milestone for the country on a global level.
