The Coronavirus pandemic has taken over almost every country in the world and has put everyone in a state of panic. With the pandemic causing thousands of death each day, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II addressed the nation last night in a rare televised speech and requested everyone to follow the spirit of unity in the fight with the pandemic.
In a pre – recorded video shot at the Windsor castle, the Queen thanked the workers of NHS (National Health Service) and everyone carrying out essential roles in the fight with the Coronavirus. She said, “Together we are tackling this disease, and I want to reassure you that if we remain united and resolute, then we will overcome it. I hope in the years to come everyone will be able to take pride in how they responded to this challenge. The moments when the United Kingdom has come together to applaud its care and essential workers will be remembered as an expression of our national spirit; and its symbol will be the rainbows drawn by children.”
The queen concluded the speech by assuring the people of England that they’ll get through this. She said, “This time we join with all nations across the globe in a common endeavor, using the great advances of science and our instinctive compassion to heal. We will succeed — and that success will belong to every one of us.”
Queen Elizabeth’s speech surely will come as a ray of hope for the people of Britain as it is one of the worst hit nations by the Coronavirus. The death toll in the UK recently crossed the 4000 mark.
