Sushant Singh Rajputâs suicide: Former Cabinet Minister Subramanian Swamy to press for CBI inquiry


In a few days, it will be a month since Sushant Singh Rajput claimed his life. His fans are still shaken with the news. His suicide has opened up a debate on nepotism prevailing in thre industry. Several stories have emerged which insinuate that it was the way the industry functioned that led him to claim his life.

While the Mumbai Police is still investigating the suicide, former cabinet minister Subramanian Swamy tweeted asking for a  CBI inquiry  into the actor’s suicide.  Mr Swamy tweeted saying, ‘I have asked Ishkaran to process Rajput alleged suicide matter for a possible CBI case or PIL or Criminal complaint case.”  His next tweet reads, “I have asked Ishkaran to look into facts of Sushant Singh Rajput death case & see whether it’s a fit Case for CBI investigation. Then accordingly to see justice is done.

There have been several stories about Sushant being replaced, sacked from films which reportedly led to his suicide. While nothing has been officially confirmed, stories keep appearing about the actor’s disturbed mind, which he hid behind his smile. Several celebrities have been questioned by the police but nothing much has been revealed about the cause of his death.
